Death Penalty

I remember thinking about how the worldwide population boom that we've been going through, and how there will probably be signs that we are reaching a critical limit.  Things like:

Less value in human life
  1. War will not seem as bad.
  2. Abortions will become more prevalent, with more places having forced abortions
  3. The death penalty will become more common.
So yesterday when Trump was giving a speech about the opiate problem, it wasn't too surprising to see him suggest the death penalty for drug dealers.  In the Philippines, where things are a lot more crowded, we can see Rodrigro Duterte committing human rights atrocities as he kills criminals left and right.  The world condemns his actions but are we becoming normalized to this?
